Look at this party my daddy is making me leave at GSU Homecoming!
Homecoming parade festivities at Georgia Southern with the football team riding on the Statesboro Fire Truck.
Me and my daddy, ain't we twins.

Hey, I 'm walking to the Auburn game with Coach Rolle after seeing the 'Tiger Walk'.
Me and CeCe wating for the festivities to start before the game.
My daddy took me down to Tuskegee to see where he and mommy went to school way back in the day.
This was my mommy's first dorm when she came to Tuskegee in 1987.

Here is a good start to the 300m low hurdles on 5/6/2010, but as I approach the first hurdle, I realize that I am not on the right foot. Subsequently I start to stutter step.
I'm currently in the lead approaching hurdle 5. Still in the lead over hurdle 6.
Last hurdle before the finish. I seem to have been able to keep up, inspite of the fact that I had to stutter step every single hurdle up to this point.
I finished the race in 45.3 seconds, only 0.1 seconds behind my competitor. I qualified for the finals on Saturday 5/8/2010 at 4:15pm. I don't plan to stutter step the hurdles on Saturday, which means I will be the new 300m low hurdle AAAA Girls State Champion.

Catch Up

I ran yesterday at Langston Hughes High School to get a jump start on this summers season. You can see my teammate, Brianna behind me. I'm getting faster!
Me & my godsister, Santeri.

I'm really cute, are'nt I.

Meet Torrance Booker. He played in the Dekalb County senior All Star Bowl this year. He plans to attend a college in Kentucky next year.

Wow! I'd almost forgot we went to Johnsonville TN for this indoor track meet at East Tennessee State University.

We look like 'Ebony' Models.

Tonight is the Chamblee High School Homecoming dance, and I'm going with some good friend of mine, since my boyfriend did'nt have a plan that my daddy would approve of to get there and back.

Sophomore Year begins @ Chamblee High School

Hey! I'm a cheerleader now. Don't I look cute in my outfit!
This is me and my friend Cara!

I don' think anyone else knows what we are doing either.

Intermediate Girls 400M Hurldes Final

Last 100m to go before we know what the final standings will be.
I see that Amber turned in a 1:00.02 and I'm not far behind!

5th place and a personal best of 1:02.95.

Here I am, 2nd from the right, ready to receive my medal.

My daddy just won't stop taking pictures, so here I am again.

Intermediate Girls Long Jump

Wednesday morning IG Long Jump. 4 Flights of 14 girls each. I, being the 12th jumper in the 3rd flight, was poised to possibly make the final cut of 8 jumpers to vie for a medal.
My first jump was just a warm up for greater things......

Ready for the second attempt.

I know that I can get more that 7.5"

3rd attempts to get to the allusive 18'6".

Nice looking jump, but only landed me a 16'5.75". So, the season of long jumping is over and I ended 22nd out of 42.

200m dash quarterfinal heat 5 of 9....... I'm in lane 4 turning the curve and eatin' up the pack. Coming down the stretch toward the finish line, but not leading the race. I think I can......

I think I can, I think I can.......................................................................................

As you can see by the results I ended up 3rd in my heat with a time of 25.54 seconds. The worst thing about all this is that there were 39 other girls with better times that mine, and only 24 go on to the semifinal round. If only I had won my heat! The fastest time of the day was from Olivia Ekpone, who ran 23.83 seconds. All I can say about that is, WOW!

Tomorrow morning I have the Long Jump at 8:00am CST and the Finals for the 400m Hurdles at 1:30pm CST.

Monday, August 3, 2009

Monday morning here at Drake University for the AAU Jr Olympic Games. I start the Semi -finals for the IG(intermediate girls) (15-16 yo) 400m Hurdles. 7 heats will be run to determine who gets to the final. We advance strictly by time.
Hey, heres my friend Jessika Banks, with Mark Trail Flying Eagles in Heat 2.

Here I am with this fantastic start!

Here is the fantastic finish to follow that start. Oh, am I alone crossing the finish line in my heat.

Here is the result sheet that shows the 8 qualifiers and the rest of the field of competitors. I'll be back tomorrow at 12:30 to run the quarterfinals of the 200m dash. My daddy takes great pictures, Huh!
